F.A.Q.

We've put together a short list of answers that we hope will answer your questions. Please contact us at your convenience if you do not find an answer to your questions.

Question: Where are you located?

Answer: We are located approximately 1 1/2 hours North of Atlanta and just 15 minutes south of Blue Ridge. We are only minutes from beautiful lakes, many rivers, and an abundance of hiking trails and waterfalls.


Question: Are there restaurants and grocery stores?

Answer: The city of Ellijay has grocery stores and there are several others nearby. We have a very nice selection of restaurants, delis, and coffee shops. Check our Restaurant guide under "Attractions".


Question: Do you have to drive up any winding, mountain roads?

Answer: Yes, but there's nothing to worry about. The roads aren't treacherous, and we haven't had anyone fall off yet :). Take your time and enjoy the mountains on your drive (caveat: if you're the driver, DON'T watch the mountains. Pay attention to the road. We're sure your passengers can tell you all about the surrounding mountains while you are safely delivering them to your cabin).


Question: Do I need to clean my Cabin before I leave? Is there a cleaning fee?

Answer: Yes, we have a cleaning fee of $75. However, we do ask that you take care of a few minor things (place the sheets in the washer, place your dishes in the dishwasher, etc.) the morning of your departure to help our cleaning staff.

Question: What is your cancellation Policy?

Answer: All reservations are subject to a 45-day cancellation policy. Cancellations must be made via letter, email, or fax.

For cancellations 45 days or more prior to the reservation arrival date: Deposits will be returned, minus the reservation fee ($35 - $45).

For cancellations within 45 days of your scheduled arrival: Deposits, minus the reservation fee, will be refunded provided the cabin is re-rented for same or greater time frame reserved. If the cabin is not re-rented as specified, no refund will be possible.

For cancellations within 30 days of your scheduled arrival: 75% of the deposit, minus the reservation fee, will be refunded provided the cabin is re-rented for same or greater time frame reserved. If the cabin is not re-rented as specified, no refund will be possible.

For cancellations within 15 days of your scheduled arrival: No refund will be possible.


Question: Do you require a deposit?

Answer: Yes, we do ask for a deposit and a major credit card for reservations. The deposit amount is 30% of the total + the Reservation fee. Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Company checks, personal checks, Bank/Cashier's/Traveler's checks, cash and money orders are acceptable forms of payment. All checks (Company, Personal, Bank, Cashiers, and Traveler's checks) must be received no later than 14 days prior to your Arrival date. Checks must be drawn on US Banks and can only be accepted for the exact amount.

Question: How do I rent a cabin?

Answer: Choose a cabin that you like and call or email us (link). If you we would like some help, we would be glad to offer some suggestions.

For reservations call 678-62-8218. We have a friendly staff that is looking forward to your call. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions, as it is our purpose to assist you in planning for the perfect vacation. Remember to ask the reservationist the total cost of the cabin with the taxes and fees.


Question: Can I watch the game?

Answer: More than likely. Each cabin is equipped with satellite television with broadcast channels, ESPN, and possibly a Sports Package (not all cabins have a Sports Package subscription).


Question: What are your office hours?

Answer: Our reservation lines are available 7 days a week.

Mon - Fri, 8am - 8pm,
Sat - Sun, 9am - 6pm

Question: Do you have a reservation fee?

Answer: We have non-refundable reservation fees that range from $35.00 - $55.00 (dependent upon the home). This covers all of the processing charges, paper work, and scheduling.


Question: Do you supply baby cribs?

Answer: We have a limited number of Pack & Plays available for your use. Please check with us when you make your reservation to ensure availability. We do ask for a refundable deposit and the guests solely responsible for setup and use of the Pack & Play according to the manufacturer's specifications to ensure the child's safety. We do not offer standard cribs due to liability concerns.


Question: What do I need to bring? Are there dishes, sheets, cookware, etc. in the Cabin?

Answer: On your way to the cabin, stop by a grocery store and pick up whatever you would like to eat while on vacation. All you need is food, beverages of your choice, and your clothes. We provide approximately 3 days supply of paper products (paper towels, bathroom tissue, etc), all linens, towels, trash bags, bath soap, dish soap, dishwasher soap, and laundry detergent. If you are staying more than 3 days, you may wish to pick up some paper towels and bathroom tissue while at the grocery store. We also supply wood for fireplaces.

Note: We do not supply coffee filters, plastic wraps, aluminum foil, or condiments. Please pick these up at the grocery store. We also supply a "club card" for one of the local grocery stores that provides you with discounts while shopping.


Question: Do you allow Pets?

Answer: Many of our cabins allow you to bring your pets with you on vacation.

In order to continue to do this we must ask your cooperation with the following policies.

We require that all pets left alone in a cabin must be in a pet crate. If you do not have a pet crate, we will be happy to loan you one. You will need to request this upon making your reservation as our supply is limited.

We do require a Pet Deposit (refundable) and a Pet Fee (please see the Rates and Policies page). The Pet Fee is not a deposit and is not refundable. It is used to offset the cost of additional time spent cleaning the cabin to ensure the next guest (should they have any allergies, etc.) is not inconvenienced by a prior pet stay in the cabin. The Pet Fee does not cover any damages to the cabin or excessive cleanup in the form of professional carpet cleaning or spraying needed to remove fleas. In the event that additional cleaning is required or any damage is done to the cabin, you will be responsible for the cost of cleaning, spraying, repair or replacement, which will be deducted from your Pet Deposit. If that is the case, you will receive an itemized listing of any damage. If care is taken with your pet to preclude damage, we are very confident that retaining your Pet Deposit will NOT be necessary. If you are concerned about possible pet issues during your stay, please ask immediately.


Question: What about cancellation due to circumstances beyond my control?

Answer: We cannot provide refunds due to circumstances beyond your or our control. We suggest that if traveling during months of possible bad weather you consider purchasing 'Trip Insurance.' We have located a company to assist you in this matter that appears to cover these types of problems at a competitive rate. In order to cover all conditions, purchase must be made within 7 days of confirming your reservation.

Question: Do you have a minimum nights stay?

Answer: Yes.

Calendar Periods

Non-Peak & Winter Getaway: 2-night minimum

Seasonal: 2-night minimum (except Spring Break in March which is 5 nights)

Peak: 3-night minimum during the Summer Months, otherwise a 2 night minimum applies

Leaf season (October): 5-night minimum

Holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Easter, July 4th): 5-night minimum

All other Holidays: 3-night minimum

Question: What is there to do in your area?

Answer: There is something for just about everyone. The Ellijay/ Blue Ridge area has an abundance of outdoor activities, recreational areas, festivals, horseback rides, hang gliding, shops, mines, restaurants, etc. Please see our Attraction pages for more information.
