Wood Duck Lodge Overview
WOOD DUCK LODGE is a brand new, three-story, woodsided cabin (built 2006), located in a gated resort and situated right on the beautiful Mountaintown Creek, in the North Georgia mountains of Ellijay, Georgia, just 90 minutes from Atlanta and Chattanooga.
The interior of the cabin is tongue and groove wood with hardwood floors on the main two levels. The downstairs bedrooms and game room are tiles. The oversized windows and French doors provide you with AWESOME views of the fast flowing Mountaintown Creek. All three main bedrooms have a view of the river!!
There are three covered porches with plenty of deck furniture for you to kick back on and just soak in all the beauty that surrounds you! Outdoor dining furniture and rockers are included. Grill out on the natural gas grill or fish right from your front yard! Dine on the porch or relax and grill some marshmallows around the firepit on the edge of the river.
There are two master suites & one additional bedroom that all open up to the river. Relax in either of the two master baths, as they each have their own Jacuzzi tub and separate shower! The bunk room, with 3 bunk beds makes an awesome retreat for the kids (and respite for the parents!!). The 3rd full bath has a combination shower/tub.
Cozy up on the huge leather couches in front of the oversized stacked rock, gas log fireplace in the living room, or spend a relaxing coffee hour in the sunroom just watching the river glide past. A large dining table seats at least 8 and there is plenty of additional seating available.
Wait until you see the game room!! A "Multicade" machine with 30 of your favorite arcade games (Pacman, Galaga, Space Invaders, Donkey Kong, Frogger etc. etc.) will keep the kids (big and little!) busy for hours, while you can get into a fierce World Cup of your own on the Foosball Table.
Each master suite has its own Satellite TV/DVD, an additional Satellite TV/DVD is located in the game room, and a flat screen TV with Surround Sound and DVD/VCR is located in the living room. The loft includes a desk with DSL connection.
kitchen
Your kitchen is appointed with granite countertops, all new, stainless steel appliances including dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven and range. We also provide you with all the dishes, utensils and cooking tools you'll need. A stainless natural gas grill is provided for BBQ connoisseurs (no propane tank required!).
great room
The great room features large living and dining area with table suitable for seating 8 – 10. The modern-rustic decor features an L shaped leather sleeper sofa, hardwood floors, stone fireplace and pine-wall interiors. There is satellite dish and home-theatre system complete with CD/DVD player (bring your own music or listen to one of the dozens of digital music channels provided by digital satellite). Off the great room is a sun room area where you can enjoy your morning coffee looking over the river. Decks overlooking the river are located on either side of the sunroom/great room.
game room
The game room features a play area complete with real stand up arcade style video game (PacMan, Ms. PacMan, Galaxy, Frogger, Centipede, and many more), foosball, and a selection of popular board games. A leather sleeper sofa is included along with Satellite TV and DVD.
outdoors
An attractive dining area, with a table seating six, is adjacent to the grill area and additional folding chairs are provided. The hot-tub, with seating for 8 is located directly outside the game room, downstairs overlooking the river. Between the house and the river is a fire pit surrounded by comfy chairs, perfect for roasting hotdogs and marshmallows. A stairway leads down to the riverbank with multiple spots for fishing or just contemplating nature.

All our cabins feature both down and foam pillows as well as new comforters and high thread count sheets. Each master suite includes Satellite TV/DVD. All towels and linens are provided
ground Floor:
The ground floor features an awesome kid’s bunk room with three sets of bunk beds. This level also includes an additional king bedroom with a view to the river. These bedrooms share the ground level bathroom.
middle Floor:
This floor has a river view king master suite with Satellite TV/DVD. The main floor bathroom with jetted tub is just outside this bedroom, and there is a door exiting to the main deck directly from the bedroom.
loft Floor:
There are 2 bedrooms up here and a full bathroom with jetted tub. The king master suite overlooks the river, has a private balcony and includes a Satellite TV/DVD. The second bedroom is an open loft area, overlooking the great room, with two full size futons. This doubles as a great area to hang out and read. This area also includes a desk with High Speed Internet Access (DSL).
